I’m a writer out of Michigan who’s doing this, as I do everything, out of spite. It’s rad that you’re here.

I‘ve always had a deep interest in history with an unfortunate hunger for global politics. This combination has mostly resulted in being a very exhausted canary in the coal mine as we live through a cosplay* of the darkest parts of our history. I’m tired of tweeting (haha) about it in ways that feel useless.

In my very little spare time I’m working on a novel called Shadows which is updated infrequently on Inkitt. I also write poetry, political and otherwise, which you should be able to find under the poetry page on this site. I won’t be enabling memberships because I believe information should be free, but I do have an operational tip jar linked next to the sign up at the bottom of the page if you feel so inclined.

I’ve been fighting with republicans since before I voted Obama in my seventh grade mock election. I’ve spent every one of my actual voting years looking for a way to help get us out of the unfortunate nightmare we’ve thrown ourselves into. Finding my footing has been rough and embarrassing at times. My political journey was a sprint from democrat to liberal to progressive to communist to anarchist to, well, whatever fits best on any given day. I don’t believe in borders or The Man and I have an unshakeable and unexplainable faith in human beings to pull through. I believe a better world is possible, but to achieve it we have to acknowledge the shortcomings. The horrors, as they’re commonly known.

One Of The F -Words is an evolving passion project whose main goal is to inform. I’m going to drop the ball sometimes. I won’t always do my best, but I am committed to being here and doing the thing. As a general rule, doing one thing leads to doing others which can lead to positive change. I’m glad if we have to be in this that we’re in it together. Feel free to engage, I’ll be around.

*Cosplay is not meant to undermine how dangerous and very real the stakes are. The fact that the new version are giant dorks just makes it harder to convince people it’s happening
